DIRECTIONS TO WOODLAWN
MANOR MUSEUM
Woodlawn Manor is located at 16501 Norwood Road in Sandy Spring, Maryland 20860. Across
from the old Red Door Store at the corner of Layhill, Ednor, & Norwood Roads intersection light.
From Silver Spring, Maryland: Take Georgia Avenue (Route 97) north. After
approximately 5 miles, turn right onto Layhill Road (Route 182). After 4.9 miles, turn left onto Norwood Road. Woodlawn Manor
is the first right.
From Rockville, Maryland: Take Route 355 north to Route
28. After 10 miles, turn left onto Layhill Road. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Norwood Road. Woodlawn Manor is
the first right.
From Columbia, Maryland: Take Route 108 to Sandy Spring.
Turn left onto Norwood Road. 100 yards before the traffic light, turn left into Woodlawn Manor.
From I-270: Take Exit 5 to Falls Road (Route 189) toward Rockville. You will be forced to bear right onto Maryland
Avenue. After 0.8 miles, turn right onto East Jefferson Street (Route 28). After 0.2 miles, bear right onto Viers Mill Road
(continuing on Route 28). After 0.5 miles, turn left onto 1st Street (continuing on Route 28). Follow 1st Street (which will
become Norbeck Road) for 6.6 miles. Turn left onto Layhill Road. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Norwood Road.
Woodlawn Manor is the first right.
From I-95: Take Exit 33 to Sandy Spring
Road (Route 198) west. After approximately 6 miles, Route 198 will intersect with New Hampshire Avenue and become Route 28.
After another 1.8 miles, turn right onto Norwood Road. Go through the intersection with Ednor Road (0.7 miles). Woodlawn Manor
is the first right.
PARKING
48 spaces are available on site, plus overflow.
Turn into Woodlawn Parking lot at Stop Sign by Stone Barn. Plenty of turn-a-round for bus in the main back lot.
Do not park in Mounted Park Police lot next door please.
