Woodlawn Manor Living History Museum offers
a variety of education programs & hands-on history field trips keyed to curriculum (K-8) and environmental studies for groups of all ages. Historic Woodlawn Manor c 1774
is an 18th century brick manor house with stone barn, slave log cabin, dairy & smokehouse, general store, carriage house
one-room school, and gazebo garden surrounded by extensive meadows, woodland trails, pond & streams. Woodlawn's
stone barn was thought to be a stop on The Underground Railroad and Woodlawn's Slave
Log Cabin and UGRR Trail programs are available. Other multi-cultural programs
such as Wampanoag Ways and Woodland Native American
Lifeways are presented. Colonial Maryland Plantation Life, Quaker Farming Community Changes, The National Road Trail Experience, & the Winds
of Revolution are popular. Field Trip reservations are required for K-8 programs presented Monday through Friday

Teas and Traces of the
Underground Railroad are available for all groups by reservation. Theme Teas & Tours include History Mysteries,
Big Tree Tours & Garden Walks, and Staff or Group Tea Luncheons and are scheduled for garden clubs, churches, bridal teas,
birthdays, Red Hat Ladies, holidays, friends' groups, office staffs, and special children's
birthday theme teas, etc. Please join our tea list!
The North
Star Challenge Course for 4th grade thru adult staff groups is also available to
foster team building and human relations. Group activities promote trust, caring,
and cooperative behavior among group members in this outdoor adventure. School staffs are welcome for an enjoyable Human Relations Activity Day in preparation for the new school year...light activities and cookout. The
Underground Railroad Experience Trail Hike is available for Human Relations as well.
